Dr. David Vaught, Professor of History at Texas A & M University, presents an engaging talk about the history of Putah Creek Township. He vividly describes the miners-turned-farmers who dealt with floods, drought, bankruptcies, booms and busts -- yet they still succeeded in creating a vibrant community and a productive agricultural economy -- both of which exist today.
